I bought this humidifier in January 2011, by the end of October it croaked. The fan quit working completely and there is no way to access it to fix it.
Seems like an awful waste of $40 for less than eight months of use.
Consider getting a different brand that starts with V and rhymes with "icks".

Did not emit any steam!! Have to return to store. Quite an inconvenience... especially with a sick baby who needs a humidifier at home!

I bought this humidifier after purchasing one that was horribly loud. My 11 month old daughter had a nasty cough and after one night of having it in her room she stopped coughing. It's super quiet and does not leak at all! Not to mention it is adorable! Great buy, great price!

This humidifier works very well. We have not had a problem with it. We have very hard water and are thrilled that these humidifiers can be fitted with filters. It doesn't take out all the hard water deposits but it beats buying special water.
